about orchid riot
Hi, I'm Sarinna. And I'm so glad you're here.
Orchid Riot started with a wedding.
A few years ago, I found myself planning my own. For perhaps the first time in my life, I gave myself permission to get completely lost in the creative process.
I wasn't interested in beige. I wasn't interested in playing it safe.
I wanted purples and greens, unapologetically bold details, and an abundance of real orchids. I wanted a wedding that felt like us—not like the version of a wedding I thought I was supposed to create.
And somewhere along the way, something unexpected happened. I fell completely in love with the creative side of myself.
My career has been rooted in corporate America as an executive sales leader, leading teams that help build and grow businesses. I love that work, and it has taught me an incredible amount about people, relationships, and bringing big ideas to life.
But there was a part of me that had been waiting for a place to create.
SO, ORCHID RIOT WAS BORN.
I created Orchid Riot for the couples who look at traditional wedding stationery and think, "It's beautiful... but it's just not me."
For the bride who wants purple instead of blush. For the couple who wants color, pattern, personality, and a little bit of “extra.” For the maximalist who wants more. For the minimalist who wants something unexpected. For anyone who wants their wedding to feel less like a checklist and more like an expression of who they are.
Your invitation is the first piece of your wedding that your guests can hold in their hands. It's the first little glimpse into the world you're creating.
So why make it forgettable?
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in California, spent the last decade in Texas, and have now landed in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, just outside of Seattle.
My house is currently ruled by three dogs—Huxley, Emmie, and Winston; two cats, Butters and Gracie; and a bearded dragon named Sterling.
Yes, I know. It's a lot and I wouldn't have it any other way.
My love for animals extends beyond my own slightly chaotic household. I volunteer remotely with the DFW Lab Rescue as their Puppy Coordinator. Now that I'm in the Pacific Northwest, I spend weekends volunteering with the Kitsap Humane Society, where I get my favorite kind of weekend exercise: walking shelter dogs.
LOVE SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO FIT A TEMPLATE.
Maybe that's why I'm so passionate about creating wedding stationery for people who don't see themselves in the traditional wedding mold.
There is no single right way to get married. There is no perfect color palette. There is no required aesthetic. And there is certainly no rule saying your wedding has to look like everyone else's.
I believe everyone deserves love. Everyone deserves their own love story. And everyone deserves to celebrate that story exactly as they want to.
Orchid Riot is an inclusive business, and I am here to create beautiful things for all couples, all kinds of love, and all the wildly wonderful ways people choose to celebrate it.
So bring me your boldest ideas. Your unconventional color palette. Your favorite flower. Your "Is this too much?" idea. (It probably isn't.)
Let's make something wildly beautiful.
